Millie

Millie is a young woman who is learning to navigate the world after being paroled from prison for murder. Millie is self-conscious about her past and does not like to talk about it because of how people may treat her if they know. Millie is living out of her car when the reader meets her, which is a parole violation. Millie needs and wants the job at the Winchester house. This need for a job and a place to live motivates Millie to look the other way when Millie recognizes unsettling behavior.
