Summary

Chapter 12 opens with Millie thinking about Nina’s mental health. Millie wonders if Nina’s depression is leading to Nina leaving the house in disarray. Millie goes through Nina’s medications and finds medication for schizophrenia. Nina asks to watch Millie clean the sink to ensure Millie is doing it properly.

In Chapter 13, Millie contemplates talking to Enzo about Nina’s mental state. Millie and Enzo are limited by the language barrier. Millie asks Enzo if he likes Nina, but Enzo does not respond.

Chapter 14 picks up three weeks later. Millie attends meetings with Pam, her parole officer. Millie regrets lying to Pam about getting fired from her last job.
