Summary

Part Three is titled The Truth. In Chapter 21, Starflight rushes back to the dormitory. He feels that, for the first time ever, he is in a position to save the other dragonets by using the dreamvisitor to warn them. When he reaches his bed, however, the gem is missing. He tries to imagine who might have taken it and what he can do instead. Fatespeaker wakes and asks why Starflight is so frantic. He decides to trust her and asks if she wants to help the RainWing tribe. He knows foiling the NightWing plan will mean they are stuck on the island, but cannot sit back while they kill the RainWings. Fatespeaker agrees and asks for his plan. She smacks him when he admits he does not have one. They talk through the problem, including anyone the guards might allow through the magic...
