Summary

In Chapter 6, Fierceteeth, Strongwings, and Preyhunter argue about what to do next and decide to go to the Scorpion Den. From their conversation, Sunny learns this is home to “lowlifes and criminals” (59). Because her egg was found nearby, Sunny hopes to find information about her parents there. Fierceteeth, Strongwings, and Preyhunter expect to be allowed into the Scorpion Den based on the fact they are NightWings but the guard demands they pay to enter. Preyhunter offers to issue a prophecy in return for being allowed in and the guard sends a message to Thorn. Sunny decides the mirror is too powerful to fall in the wrong hands and she buries it. After the NightWings are allowed inside, a SandWing (later identified as Six-Claws) confronts Sunny and takes her in as well.
