Summary

Chapter 39

Orion catches up with Reyna, though pretty roughed up from where he fought with Hylla. He says that the remaining Hunters are still alive but that he’s planning on killing her. Reyna manages to throw her knife and it lands in Orion’s chest. She grabs the special cloak that she was given by Athena and jumps on top of the explosive to try and contain the blast.

As it goes off, Reyna is spared because she’s proven herself to be worthy of being called a hero of Olympus and is given a piece of Athena’s mantle, the cloak, which is what protects her. Orion shoots another arrow at Reyna but the cloak deflects the shot. She then uses the same cloak to strangle Orion, finally killing him.
