Summary

Chapter 19

Annabeth rouses Piper and tells the ship about her dream. As they reach Sparta the two females agree to both go together to the statue. There they find a pair of fire pits, to which Piper dives right into one. There she encounters a few bronze dragon statues spewing flames, and she lops their heads off, allowing Annabeth to come into the cavern safely. There they come across the statue and hear a heartbeat inside. Before they can even do a thing a giant arrives, ready to kill them.

Being within the temple of fear affects both Annabeth and Piper, paralyzing them with fear; Annabeth more so than Piper. Piper attempts to get Annabeth up and away from Mimas, the giant, who is there to kill them. She tries to reason with Annabeth by telling her that no matter how much...
