Summary

In Chapter 4, Gwen checks out Sam on the Internet and is unable to find any dirt on him. She is still unsettled when she discovers Sam can see their house from his front porch. After talking to Javier about Sam and learning that he has heard nothing bad about him, and that Sam fixed Javier’s roof Gwen pays Sam a visit. He is cooking pancakes and she joins him for a plate. He explains that his mother taught him how to cook. After they discuss the price of the work to fix the roof and the possible addition of the deck to Gwen’s house Gwen asks Sam how long he plans to stay at Stillhouse Lake. She wonders if he is considering her romantically but cannot tell for sure. He will tell her only he is not sure about his plans...
