Summary

Janice falls asleep after he leaves. She is used to sleeping alone. The baby wakes her at four in the morning for a feeding and changing. The whole time she is thinking of Harry wishing he would return. She hates what he did to her, but she loves him. She makes herself a drink to calm her nerves and as the hours pass she keeps drinking. She had been proud of herself for not drinking while Harry had been gone those two months.

Nelson wakes and asks if Daddy has gone away. Janice tells him he left early for work, and then distracts him by coloring with him. She is so happy with her picture until she realizes she has not stayed within the lines. Janice begins to cry and Nelson attempts to comfort her.
