Chapters 16-19 Summary

Chapter 16. The Peace of Lov. Plain Kate refuses to kill Taggle. Then Taggle suggests they kill Linay. Plain Kate and Drina agree that they should turn in Linay to the guards and let them burn him at the stake. The next day, Plain Kate, Taggle, and Drina make their way to the city gates. The gates are crowded by people who have been locked outside. Plain Kate and Drina push their way through the crowd in an attempt to get to the gates. Then Taggle attacks a merchant dressed in white and Plain Kate is shocked to see it is Linay. A short time later, a storm blows up behind them. Linay announces that this is the destruction of Lov and that he is a witch. It turns out that burning at the stake is part of Linay's plan. When Linay...
