Chapters 52 through 57 Summary

In Chapter 52, Peter and Alf arm themselves with human leg bones from the pile. They try to fight off Mister Grin, who turns out to be a twenty five to thirty foot long, massive crocodile. He must weigh at least a ton. Alf falls and hits his head, so Peter jumps on Mister Grin's back and starts bashing him with the bone. Mister Grin bites the bone, and throws Peter off. Peter is backed into a corner by the giant crocodile, but Molly comes to the rescue. She flies over the wall and throws Peter the locket. He touches the Starstuff so that he can fly out, but punches the crocodile in the nose at the same time. Mister Grin floats off happily into the jungle.
