Part 7, Chapter 39 Summary

Claire goes to check on Jamie and finds Murtagh in the hallway. He tells her that Jamie isn't ready to see her just yet. He says that Jamie wished her to go back to Scotland without him, and Murtagh takes Claire's arm to lead her away from his room. Claire is furious and goes into Jamie's room to confront him. He breaks down and finishes telling her the story of what Randall put him through. He gives Jamie a glass of brandy, strips Jamie of his clothes and leads him to the bed. He slashes Jamie's chest with a knife and licks the blood off. Jamie promises not to fight, so he doesn't. He makes Jamie provide sexual favors with his mouth, then asks him about Claire.
