Part 3, Chapter 20 Summary

Another few days pass by, and Claire awakens to find a package by her bedroll. She opens it and finds a piece of amber with a dragonfly imbedded in it. It is from Munroe. It is inscribed with "Then let amorous kisses dwell. On our lips, begin and tell. A thousand and a hundred score. A hundred and a thousand more." Claire likes it. Jamie tells her that Munroe set up the meeting for him with Horrocks. It will be in about 4 days. Jamie explains to Claire more of the qualms that went on between the Fraser family and the MacKenzie family. He's a threat to Hamish's chieftainship in one interpretation, in which they would want him dead, and in the other interpretation they wanted Lallybroch (his land), because it's in a good spot.
