Summary

Melody is excited to be using words like Buckingham Palace as they prepare for the changing of the guards. A police officer’s horse eats the hat right off of Melody’s head. Miss Gertie surprises the girls with tickets to go inside the palace.

In Chapter 21 Melody’s wheelchair is carefully checked to make sure she is not bringing in anything dangerous. Miss Gertie explains to them that there are frequently secret doors in rooms because the queen enters through them when she meets guests. Miss Gertie was once her guest, and Melody realizes that even the queen admires celebrities.
