Summary

Chapter 13 is titled “Just be You.” Poppy and Naomi are sitting together at the time out rock. They are discussing the publisher lady's comments to their comics. Naomi does not believe the publisher lady thought Poppy was disturbing. She believes the email simply means “she didn't like your story,” and points out “She didn't like mine, either” (202). They agree they would not want everyone to be the same and to like the same things. Naomi says Poppy is awesome and should not change. Poppy agrees. Flippy arrives as Poppy is leaving. Naomi agrees to return to the club. Flippy heard what Naomi said to Poppy. He says that she is “good at comforting people” (205). He suggests her purpose might be to become a counselor.
