Summary

Chapter 12 is titled “New Comic, Old Problem.” The opening page shows Sarah welcoming her viewers back. She asks one of the frogs about his new comic. He flounders with his answer until Sarah says they should just read it. The next page is the title page for Chubbs McSpiderbutt, Part 2: The Birth of Big Bubba Babyhead. This comic opens with a recap of the heroes who are being “tormented by the Not Very Nice Club” (174). One of the villains is a fuzzy creature named Scott who keeps forgetting the difference between insults and compliments. (The other is Doctor Pasty McSprinkles, but he is not identified by name in this novel.) Chubbs and his sidekick – a spider named Jake – decide to go get sushi instead of fighting the villains.
