Chapters 6-10 Summary

Lucas heads home and discovers that his lover, Weather Harkinnen, is not home yet. Weather is a surgeon who saved Lucas's life about a year ago. While Lucas changes his clothes, Connell calls and tells him not to throw out his notes on the case yet. Lucas wonders what she is up to, but Weather arrives and the two go for a run. Arriving home, Weather readies for bed but Lucas wants to track down Junky Doog.

At the Blue Bull, a local bar, Lucas meets Earl Stupella, the bartender and brother of one of Lucas's old sources. Earl points out Randy Leski, another of Davenport's sources. Randy is not happy to see Lucas, but tells him that Junky Doog has been working at a dump in Dakota County. Pleased to have a lead, Lucas heads home to get some sleep...
