Point of View

While the novel is told from the third person, there are numerous points of view the story follows, allowing the novel to build an entire world with multiple storylines that all converge in the climax. King is careful to only provide necessary information about each character so the readers do not figure out how all of the characters relate to each other much before those in law enforcement and protection do.

At some points, the novel follows the point of view of both antagonists or villans, Chris and Trig. Trig’s sections allow the reader to understand from the beginning why he is doing what he is doing.
