The Blistered Land

Marra ventures into the blistered land in order to build a dog out of bones so that the dust-wife will agree to help her kill the prince. The blistered land is cursed because the people who live there resorted to cannibalism after they had exhausted all their other options. Most of the cannibals are kind to Marra, but they warn her of the evil cannibals who still thirst for the taste of human flesh.
