Summary

In Chapter 18, the group walked through the tombs and the dust-wife talked to the ghosts who remained in their coffins. One queen, who had been buried alive, warned them that the “thief-wheel” would get them. Suddenly, the thief-wheel sped toward them. The dust-wife stood in front of it and told the wheel that they were not grave robbers, but the wheel rolled over her and then collected Marra with its glue-like substance, and she passed out.

In Chapter 19, Marra woke up in the dark a full day later. She panicked and prayed, but she was terrified of dying alone in the tombs.
