Princess Marra

Princess Marra is the youngest sister in the royal family of the Harbor Kingdom. She grows up in a small, beautiful palace by the sea. She is very close with her eldest sister, Damia, but she and her middle sister, Kania, hate one another all through their childhood. Marra is described as physically plain and she sees herself as less than intelligent, but she is brave, determined, and committed to justice.

When her first sister is killed by the prince, Marra believes the lie that the death was an accident. She is upset at first when the prince marries her second sister and sends Marra to a convent so that she cannot have any children, but, while living at the convent with the nuns, Marra realizes that being a princess is much too confining of a life.
