Part Two, Chapter 10 Summary

Cam goes to a private detective who has worked for the Wheelock police department several times in the past. As Cam describes his desire to find Mia to the detective, the man lets slip that he twice worked for Cam's father in personal matters in the past. The detective tells Cam that his father hired him to track Cam's movements when he was traveling through the world. Then the detective tells Cam that his father once hired him to find his mother. Angry, Cam goes to his mother and demands to know why his father had his movements traced. Ellen tells Cam that it was her idea, because she was worried. Cam then asks why she once ran away.
