Part One, Chapter 3 Summary

Angus McDonald is Cam's uncle. Angus was left behind in Scotland to be the caretaker of Carrymuir, which remains in McDonald hands. Angus moved to Wheelock eight years ago when Cam approached him and asked him to take over as clan chief upon the death of Cam's father. Angus refused, but agreed to come to Wheelock to help Cam. Angus believes Cam needs his help now. Angus has had a dream about the original Cameron and believes it is a sign that Cam made a mistake by charging Jamie with murder.

The next morning, Cam comes downstairs to find Allie making breakfast for him, as she normally does. Allie talks about Jamie's crime as if it is romantic to her. Cam wants to know what she would do in the same situation. Allie says she would kill Cam, but...
