Summary

Now the narrative switches to Mad's point of view. Mad is in a second interrogation room with Detective Bundle on December 19th (the same night Vic is being questioned be Sergeant Mendes). Mad is telling Detective Bundle about her past eight days, beginning with how she brought Vic back to the back of Babushka's. Mad continues to tell Detective Bundle her story, starting from where she left off, with leaving Vic at the deli. Now we get a flashback to seven days earlier. Mad, Coco, Zuzu, and Baz go to Babushka's the morning after Mad left Vic there to check on him. Mad introduces Vic to the others. Baz says he has to run to work, but asks Vic two questions before he leaves. He asks him if he needs help and whether he has hurt anyone. Mad remembers Baz asking her these...
