Summary

In Chapter 10, Lena and Campbell go into the portable. Lena calls Black and he answers on the first ring, which he never does when she calls from her own phone. He says he cannot come get her because he is at the tattoo parlor with his friends, but if she walks down to him then he will get her a ride home. She trusts Black, but she knows that his friends have a bad habit of ditching girls, including LaShunda, and leaving them stranded, so she worries that they will do the same to her.

In Chapter 11, the school swarms with ambulances, police, and helicopters. Lena asks Campbell how she is getting home. When Campbell says that she is supposed to meet Ms. Marino, Lena tells her Ms. Marino will not come back for her. When Campbell says she has no one else...
