I'm Not Dying With You Tonight is a young adult novel co-written by Kimberly Jones and Gilly Segal about two teenage girls who end up in the midst of a race riot after a shooting occurs at their high school's football game. One of the girls is Black and one is white, just like the co-authors, who come together to tell a coming of age tale from two distinct racial perspectives. As the city of Atlanta goes up in flames, the two girls must come together to survive. The novel explores class, unity, law enforcement, racism, and materialism.
