Chapters 26-35 Summary

In Chapter 26, Michael introduces Emerson to two other residents in the house, Dune and Nate. They are then joined by a third, a young girl named Ava who clearly has some romantic claims on Michael. Emerson's jealousy instantly flares as Ava insists she has something private she needs to discuss with Michael.

In Chapter 27, Michael explains to Emerson that the others also have certain talents that involve the manipulation of time. Michael then asks Dr. Rook to explain time travel to Emerson, particularly the kind in which they will use. Dr. Rook explains how a special metal can help focus her gifts and how she can build bridges with her own gift, the ability to create exotic matter. Michael then goes to speak to Ava while Emerson continues to speak to Dr. Rook. Dr. Rook asks about Emerson's reaction to Michael...
