Chapters 16-25 Summary

In Chapter 16, Emerson goes to work and is nearly surrounded by a scene from the 1950s. While Lily is out of the room, Emerson pops the scene. After their shift, Lily catches sight of Michael across the street and makes an attempt to approach him, but Emerson pulls her back and explains the situation.

In Chapter 17, Michael drives Emerson home and tells her that he is leaving town for a few days. Michael also gives Emerson a binder and a book to help her understand time traveling.

In Chapter 18, at home, Emerson tries to study the binder Michael gave her, but fails to understand most of the technical information. While cleaning in the kitchen, Emerson finds Dru's keys.
