Section 13: Chapters 40-42 Summary

In Chapter 40, Morgan hears the cheers at the football game as she studies for English, and she is surprised when Pip visits her to talk about tomorrow. When Pip mentions that Morgan is probably immune to the fairies' spells since she can see Dawn as well as Cam's changing form, she panics at the idea that her feelings for Pip are real, especially when he assures her that fairies cannot make someone believe they are in love since fairies do not understand love. Morgan refuses to tell Pip what thoughts she has been having that for which she thought the fairies were responsible. Pip also tells Morgan that after Cam's sixteenth birthday, Massif's spell will break, allowing everyone to see Cam as he really is.
