Section 6: Chapters 17-20 Summary

In Chapter 17, Morgan is shocked to find Mrs. Browne in tears, and Cam meets her on her way upstairs as he was on his way to see her. He has been studying with Dawn all afternoon as he is now too weak to play football. As she hugs him, Morgan notes that Cam smells different, and when she worries he will stop loving her, Cam assures her that will never change. Since Morgan wants to talk alone, without Dawn overhearing them, Cam leads her to the shower since running water can kill full-fledged fairies. Cam explains he is expected to become king of Otherworld when he turns sixteen since his brother died in a war, and when Morgan mentions Dawn's threats, he assures her that Dawn promised not to harm her.
