Section 9: Chapters 26-29 Summary

In Chapter 26, Morgan argues that the fairies will be cruel to Pip and he does not deserve that, but he sees it as doing his part for true love. Dawn comes to retrieve Pip to help with Cam's training, but Morgan slams the door in her face and asks why Pip would make such a huge sacrifice for her. He insists it is not a big sacrifice. She hugs him, holding the embrace a bit too long and recognizing his scent of woods and aftershave. In Chapter 27, Morgan is heartbroken when she goes to bed because she has not seen Cam all day. She misses the old easy-going version of Cam because this new Cam hates who he is. She worries what kind of life he will have in this world as a fairy. Cam has always been perfect...
