Chapters 20-22 Summary

Lauren awakes at Tony's only to find him on the phone with Nick. Tony attempts to get Nick to come rescue Lauren only to be told of Lauren's betrayal. Lauren is humiliated and waits for Tony to turn on her as Jim and Nick have done, but Tony does not. Instead Tony tries to call Nick back to force him to listen to reason, but Nick refuses to take his call. Instead, Mary tells Lauren to leave Nick alone. A short time later, Nick's lawyer and head of security come to Tony's to tell Lauren that Nick is not pressing charges as long as she agrees to never set foot on Global Industries property again. Lauren agrees, still insisting on her innocence. At the same time, Tony tells Lauren that he overheard Philip blackmailing her and is only disappointed that she...
