Summary

In Chapter 5, Ana wonders why Gem has been assigned as her personal bodyguard. She goes over facts she knows. Ester (Harding) is descended from one of the Harding-Pencroft founders. There are others besides Ana who had siblings at HP who are likely dead now. Hewett says the drones will alert emergency services, but Ana has not yet seen any responding vehicles (they are on the only road into the campus). Ana notes that Gem has two SIG Sauer P226s in holsters like a gunslinger. She believes these “twin” guns is how Gemini got his nickname.
