Charlie Hall

Charlie Hall is the main character of the novel and the one that the narrator follows most frequently. As a bartender at Rapture, Charlie spends the early parts of the story trying to escape her con woman's past and build a new life for her and her sister, Posey. However, she is convinced that she is cursed to always make bad decisions and often throws herself into grifts without thinking about the consequences. This is how she gets involved in Salt’s attempts to capture Vince’s shadow and how she eventually reveals his treachery to the rest of the Cabal. In the end, Charlie chooses to bond with Vince - the Blight of Remy - and become the new Hierophant.
