Point of View

The novel is in the first-person point of view of the main character, Colin Singleton. Colin is a prodigy, genius and high school graduate that is recently dumped by his girlfriend. Colin tells the story of his journey to finding an answer as to why he is dumped continuously by girls named Katherine as it unfolds.

The point of view of this novel is an intimate point of view that allows a reader to connect closely with the main character. The reader cares what happens to the narrator. The point of view also allows the author to inject his own opinions into the narration and to expand on the events taking place around the main character without having to move out of character or interrupt the flow of the narration.
