Chapters 17 and 18 Summary

In Chapter 17, when the boys wake up the next morning, which is their 22nd day in Gutshot, they evaluate each other's wounds from the fight the night before. When Colin and Hassan see Lindsey at the breakfast table, she tells them she doesn't want to talk about what happened. They see a note from Hollis telling them whom to interview today, which is Ms. Mabel, who lives in a nursing home on the other side of town. Ms. Mabel is old and seems to have some memory problems, so when the interview ends, Lindsey leaves crying and goes into the bathroom. The three return home and Colin finishes the theorem.
