Chapters 9 and 10 Summary

In Chapter 9, Colin, Hassan, and Lindsey interview Starnes. Starnes says he has lived his whole life in Gutshot. He also says he was the longest working employee at the factory. He worked there 60 years and when he retired, they named the break room after him. When the interview ends, Colin and Hassan drop Lindsey off at the convenient store, where her boyfriend Colin is working. The boys try to kill a couple of hours, but go to the convenient store early. Hassan fakes an asthma attack so they can all go back to Hollis's house 40 minutes early. Colin calls his parents to tell them the truth about staying with and working for Hollis and they give him permission to stay. When Colin goes to find Hassan, he overhears a conversation between Hassan and Lindsey about Colin. Colin enters to see Hassan...
