Summary

In Chapter 23, Noose set Drew’s trial for the first week in August. Jake knew by then Kiera would be visibly pregnant. Noose also insisted that Drew be brought to court even though Jake had tried to get his first appearance waived. He felt that Noose was performing for the crowd in light of the upcoming election as he dealt with Drew and accepted his initial plea of not guilty.
