Summary

In Chapter 10, on Tuesday there was a crowd in the courtroom because someone started a rumor that Drew would appear in court and would probably be released. Meanwhile, Jake and Dyer met with Noose. Jake expressed his concerns about Drew’s mental state and said he wanted an evaluation. Dyer expressed the concern that Jake was setting the grounds for an insanity plea. Jake vaguely feared that politics might interfere in the case since both Noose and Dyer were up for reelection. Dyer agreed to allow Drew to be evaluated, but did not want him to leave the jail.
