The Waystone Inn

The Waystone Inn is the inn that Kvothe runs in the present day. Going by the name of Kote, Kvothe runs the inn with the help of Bast, a friend and coworker. The entire novel takes place at the inn, as this is where Kvothe recounts the story of his past to the Chronicler and Bast. There are several interludes throughout the novel, in addition to the beginning and end, that return to events occurring in the inn.

The University

The University is the school that Kvothe attends. It is located in the Commonwealth, near the city of Imre.

Imre
