Summary

In Chapter 15, Thorn believes the other Outclaws will be headed back to the Scorpion Den by now. There is no way out except the door. Thorn does not want to risk trying to burn through the door for fear of setting all the paper on fire in the room. Sunny clears the area and uses small, controlled burns to get through the door. Thorn, meanwhile, finds the message addressed to her. It is from Stonemover who wrote that he had to stop using his powers for the NightWings or “lose” himself. He pledges to wait at Jade Mountain for Thorn and ends with “I love you” (142). Sunny remembers the story that a dragon lives on Jade Mountain and suggests Stonemover is still waiting for Thorn.
