Part 6, Chapter 34 Summary

Murtagh decides that he and Claire should not waste time in trying to find Jamie, for they will not. He hid well. They will wait for him to find them. Murtagh gives Claire her bag of medicines and they ride from town to town treating the sick people in hopes that somewhere along the line there will be word of Jamie. Possibly Jamie will catch wind of them traveling from town to town. Murtagh even has Claire sing in one of the towns and asks if she can do fortune telling. She laughs, but does it so that word of them will spread.

They meet a band of gypsies on their travels and are invited to dinner. Claire and Murtagh sing after dinner and ask about Jamie. No one seems to have seen him. It is hard to communicate with the...
