Part 1, Chapter 3 Summary

Claire sees and hears men dressed in kilts on horseback. They are yelling to each other in Gaelic. She jumps out of the way as they come toward her, wondering if she is asleep. She thinks this is all a scene in the making of a movie. It couldn't possibly be real. Claire thinks it best to leave, before ruining the film with her up-to-date wardrobe. As she makes her way across the brush toward the car she is taken hostage by two men, one of whom she thinks is Frank playing a joke on her. She soon realizes that he doesn't smell like Frank, although he looks a lot like him. Based on his attire, Claire thinks this man to be one of the actors playing a part in the film.
