Cameron McDonald

Cameron McDonald is the clan chief of the remaining McDonald clan that settled in Wheelock Massachusetts. Cam is not happy being the clan chief. Cam wanted to be a travel writer, traveling to distant lands and having adventures everywhere he went. However, when Cam's father died unexpectedly he inherited the honorary role of clan chief as well as the real job as chief of police. Cam feels trapped in this town and overwhelmed by the responsibility implied in his honorary title. Cam's prison only feels as though it is growing tighter when he marries Allie. Cam loves Allie, but her blind devotion to him is suffocating and leaves him wishing he could leave everything behind and return to his travels where he had no responsibility to anyone but himself.

Cam cannot leave Wheelock, because it would disgrace his entire family, especially his father's memory....
