Part One, Chapter 8 Summary

At Jamie's preliminary hearing, Graham announces his intention to use temporary insanity as his defense. Jamie is mildly impressed with Graham's behavior at the hearing and begins to build some trust in his lawyer. At the same time, Jamie meets the prosecutor and dislikes her on sight because of her overbearing manner and her name.
