Hassan and Colin are best friends. When Hassan sees that Colin is depressed after being dumped by Katherine XIX, Hassan suggests the road trip to get his mind off everything. Colin sees Hassan as his barometer of normally. While Colin tends to strike up conversations on topics that people do not have an interest in, Colin looks to Hassan to keep Colin on topics of interest.
