Summary

Chapter 29 opens from Penny's perspective and drops back to the moment Shepard called to her. Shepard says he slashed the tires of the other vehicles, meaning the creatures cannot immediately follow. They will have to travel for about an hour to get out of the Quiet Zone. Baz is in the back of the truck and Simon follows from the air for awhile before joining Baz.
