Summary

Chapter 15 is from Simon's perspective. At The Cheesecake Factory, they place their orders with Penny being too upset to care what she eats. Simon is thrilled with the extensive menu and chooses an elaborate hamburger. Penny tells them that Micah is seeing someone else. Baz is angry on her behalf but Penny says the truth is that she could have chosen to attend college in American to be with Micah, and did not. Baz begins to look pale and has to leave the restaurant.

Chapter 16 is from Baz's perspective. Baz tends to feed when there is no one else around. He is incredibly hungry and knows it would take a lot of rats. So, he drains the blood from nine cats instead. He rejoins Simon and Penny who are now eating cheesecake. They find a cheap motel and Simon announces he will sleep...
