Chapter 112-116 Summary

Cross drives to Nag's Head, North Carolina, where he had visited with Kate. He worries that Craig will return here, to target Kate. He calls ahead, warning Kate, ordering her out of town. He arrives at her hose and sits in wait for Craig. The phone rings. Cross answers Craig's call, begging to know where he hides. Craig taunts Cross, threatening his family, describing the house where Cross's aunt lives. Suddenly, with a scream, Craig emerges from a trapdoor to the attic. He stabs Cross in the chest with an ice pick. Cross rebounds and attacks Craig. He wants to hurt him. He punches him, for all the wrongs he has done, until Craig is unconscious.
