Part 7, Chapter 2 Summary

There are torches lit throughout the house that is lavishly decorated with the things an immortal may want. There is a vast art collection and painted murals everywhere. Lestat is amazed by all he sees and finds the experience dizzying. As he continues to search for Marius, he sees a forest of bird cages with exotic birds in them. Eventually, he moves toward the sound of Marius and finds him waiting.

Part 7, Chapter 2 Analysis

From the appearance of Marius's home, it seems as though he and Lestat share their connection to mortals. Although Marius's home has all nature of mortal things in it, they are all things that would appeal to a vampire's meticulous nature.
