Summary

Chapter 28

Kennedy is out on the porch steps avoiding the twins. However, she overhears a conversation between the two about her and how Lukas is accusing Jared of not caring about her and how Kennedy is just another one of his conquests. Lukas then goes on to berate Jared about killing the previous members (the parents) despite it being an accident. Before she can hear anymore though Alara comes up the steps with an armload of objects. She’s looking to send the ghost orphanage children across the rift to the afterlife and wants to know if anyone wants to help.

Down below in the basement Alara is mixing tobacco with Florida water to wash away the sins of the place. From there she lights a candle and tells them to give something that has value to call the loas to come and...
